EYE Filmmuseum: the building of the museum

The EYE Film Museum on the banks of the river IJ is one of the iconic monuments of the city of Amsterdam and a modern architectural masterpiece in its own right. The architects of Delugan Meissl Associated Architects took their inspiration from the medium of film in which movement and light are the essential and constantly renewing parameters. On the outside, they designed a grid-like structure that reflects light throughout the day on both the inside and outside, giving the building a permanently optically different appearance.
The fashionable foldabe rain ponchos we created with EYE do the same thing: a funky geographic pattern in daylight, a reflective protective pattern at night!
