Bike seat cover by Klimt
This bike seat cover is inspired by Gustav Klimt’s brilliantly colored painting of a blossoming flower garden. Most of us know Klimt from his romantic portraits of women with a lot of gold and glitter, but Klimt made deeply researched paintings of the natural world, especially after he visited a large Van Gogh exhibition in Vienna in 1906.
Gustav Klimt was successful but also controversial during his lifetime. He was a womanizer and hermit all in one and lived his whole life in a small village in his native region: "there is nothing special when you look at me" he said himself. Was it true? His signature look was a strikingly long caftan with sandals. Underneath? Nothing except his naked self.
